The Disenchantments by Nina LaCour

SUMMARY: Colby and Bev have a long-standing pact: graduate, hit the road with Bev’s band, and then spend the year wandering around Europe. But moments after the tour kicks off, Bev makes a shocking announcement: she’s abandoning their plans – and Colby – to start college in the fall.

But the show must go on and The Disenchantments weave through the Pacific Northwest, playing in small towns and dingy venues, while roadie- Colby struggles to deal with Bev’s already-growing distance and the most important question of all: what’s next?

Morris Awardβ€”finalist Nina LaCour draws together the beauty and influences of music and art to brilliantly capture a group of friends on the brink of the rest of their lives.

And you have to ask why I like it? It’s the COVER! It’s gorgeous and vintage-y. Kind of what you get when you use Instagram, no? Hehe Seriously, the plot is interesting. But it’s the cover that caught my attention. πŸ˜€

    • I hope so, too. It would be such a letdown if a cover that nice would not be paired with an equally interesting plot. Thanks for dropping by! πŸ˜‰

  1. Hey, thanks for putting me on your list. That’s so cool. I never seen someone done that before. Awesome. About the book. I had this as my last WoW, so I agree with you sooo much. I can’t wait! There’s a website for it, too. πŸ™‚

Would love to hear from you. Please leave a reply. ;)
