Mouth-Watering Monday #8

Mouth-Watering Monday is a new weekly meme started by Brittany at Nice Girls Read Books. As book bloggers, we love to admire pretty covers, old and new. This meme takes the guilt out of judging a book by its cover, instead embracing it and showing off our favourite finds of the week!

Happy, happier and the happiest New Year to everyone! 😀

I’m so glad that 2012 is already here. It’s high time for us to start anew and take up lofty goals and seemingly difficult challenges. For me, every start of the year always brings with it a sense of hope that’s why for today’s Mouth-Watering Covers edition, I picked 4 books that signify fresh starts in the form of leaves and flowers framing the book fronts.

For some strange reason unknown even to me, I love to watch cooking shows. That’s weird considering I can’t cook. But I can’t help drooling after the mouth-watering dishes that chefs come up with from scratch. So I’d like to celebrate today, the last Monday of 2011, with at least 4 book covers featuring kitchen implements that just scream “love me and my cooking”.

NOTE: It has been a few weeks since Brittany of Nice Girls Read Books has been active on her blog. She could be busy with real-life concerns. Hope things are going swell for her. No worries though since I’d still be featuring books with awesome covers every Monday. 🙂

Cover Cravings #5: The Redheads Invasion

A serendipitous moment when I stumbled upon Kara-Karina‘s blog featuring some of the feistiest and gorgeous-looking redheads you’ve ever seen on book covers. And since I just couldn’t resist delectable covers, I asked Kara-Karina to do a guest post for this blog. I admit I was a bit scared she might say no (was crossing my fingers the whole time). But nice person that she is, she said YES (making me really happy)!

Cover Cravings #3: Art Deco & Phryne Fisher

Been a while since we’ve featured book covers to lust after (see Cover Cravings #2: Penguin Classics RED).
So today we’re back with a vengeance – some drool-worthy tomes that bask in the beauty and glamor that can only be the 1920’s and Art Deco.
