We’ve all read the books. We’ve all speculated as to how the series should have ended. And now, we’re all eagerly awaiting the movie to feed our THG geek needs.
That’s why I’m giving away 2 tickets each to 2 lucky winners who will get to see the movie at Ayala Cinema in Ayala Center Cebu come March 23rd. Wheeee!
Christmas is easily one of my most favorite seasons. So as a way to celebrate the joy and happiness that Christmas brings, I decided to join the Gift Card Giveaway Hop co-hosted by Kathy of I Am A Reader, Not A Writer.
But instead of a gift card, I’m giving one lucky winner a chance to pick a book of his/her choice from The Book Depository worth $15 or less. This giveaway is open to everyone.
UPDATE: CONTEST CLOSED at 12/14/11 4:02 PM
Subscribe to my blog through email. (Link on the right panel of the home page.)
The giveaway ends on Dec 14th at 4 PM (Philippine Time) in order to accommodate those from the western countries. Drawing of winners will start immediately using Random.org. Winner has 48 hours to respond to my email or else I would have to draw another.

One of the highlights of the Book Blogger Appreciation Week or BBAW is the huge (and I mean HUUUGGGEEEE) bunch of contests and games. Most blogs, if not all, would host one or two, with books and other swags as the major prizes. But the real strength of BBAW is the growing community of bloggers and readers who are committed to make reading a pleasure that should be enjoyed by everyone.
Here in The Traveling Reader, I would like to take part in this yearly celebration by hosting a contest as my way of saying thank you to everyone who stopped by and left kind words. It was only this year that I have become serious about blogging and reading, that’s why I’m paying back to the reading community by hosting a book giveaway. Yup, you read that right. CONTEST ALERT!!! Read on to find out more. 😉
Since I’m a subscriber of City Discovery, they sent me one of those emails that I would have shelved for later viewing except that the subject line caught my eye: “Win an Ipad this Christmas!” Who wouldn’t grab an opportunity like that?
So here I am sharing this to you, dear readers. 🙂
HOW TO WIN:
Visit the NetGlobers website. They are the official sponsors of this super fantabulous (that’s fantastic + fabulous rolled into one…so you can imagine how nice this is…*wink*) contest.
Write a kickass travel report of any place you’ve traveled to. (Guidelines weren’t explicit though as to the recency of the travel period but I think it should be sometime this year, just to be safe side).
Rate the place you’ve chosen to write about in terms of its security, food safety, transport, accommodation, communication, health care and overall impact to your travel experience.
Contest date: September 21, 2010 to December 31, 2010.
Edit your report. Proofread. And polish as much as you can. Because it’s not just the content that matters but also how it’s presented.
Then cross your fingers that out of a million entries, it will be yours that will be selected. Easy, huh? 😉
So yeah, while I’m having a bakasyon engrande, I’m going to pen the best travel report that I can. That is if I can squeeze that into all the dvd’s I’ve promised to watch or stuff to eat or books to read (I’ve amassed quite a few since the last week of November but will share those to you some other time).
I just love the holidays. ^_^
