The A-Z Reading Challenge

Islandhopper or Ihop introduced a new reading challenge on Shelfari.com meant especially for those who are guilty of hoarding books yet can’t find time to read (was she talking about me? hehe).
One rule is that for every letter in the alphabet, you have to pick one author that you haven’t read yet and get to know him/her. And you have to finish everything on your list in a year’s time.
Sounds cool, right? I know you want to join in on the fun so click here. 😀

my author picks

I miss some letters, you say? Well, that’s because I’m forbidden to acquire more books until we could get our house in order. 😦
In a few weeks, we would be moving temporarily somewhere else and most of my books are safely stowed in a box ready to be hauled as soon as we have to go. The books mentioned above are the only ones I have within easy reach. But I still have a year anyway to complete this challenge so who knows? I might be able to find the “missing” authors just in time. 🙂

Harry Holidays

harry potter and the deathly hallows - uk ed

I apologize for the very long hiatus because of the utter busyness of these past few days (haven’t I used that excuse once or twice already? hehe) plus, am enjoying the much-needed break so much.

So just a quick update: Am currently reading the UK Edition of the Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows which Blooey of Sumthinblue.com has kindly sent me. A friend even salivated when she saw the gorgeous cover when I received the package at work. Thank you, thank you, Blooey. 😀

I have just recently joined Islandhopper‘s A to Z Book Reading Challenge.
The Goal: To read 26 authors with surnames from A to Z between January 1 to December 31, 2010. I have yet to compile my list and see what I can come up with. Will post the list as soon as I’m done.
For anyone wanting a piece of this book challenge action, please click here.

I am so looking forward to more reading joys in 2010. Hope you guys are, too. Happy Holidays! 🙂
