Waiting On Wednesday is a weekly event, hosted by Breaking The Spine, that spotlights upcoming releases that we’re eagerly anticipating.
Since it seems that fairy-tale or myth re-tellings are such an in thing these days in the book business, I’ve decided to feature 3 of the books I’m waiting for that revolve around that particular theme. Hope you enjoy them! 😉

I almost forgot about Cinder. Re-tellings of fairytales are starting to become big now.
Yes, it is. And as a lover of all things fairy tale, I can’t be any happier. 😀

Hey there fellow Filipino book blogger! *waves* Great picks! I’m especially intrigued with Cinder, I have an ARC sitting on my desk and I haven’t gotten around reading it but it sounds like a great reboot to a classic fairytale. Great picks 🙂
Check out my WoW picks for this week
Hello, Kai! 🙂

Scarlet looks really cute. I wish I were as talented as the artist who did the illustration. Hehe
Thanks for visiting, Kat! 😉
I recently read an ARC of Cinder and absolutely loved it! 🙂

Krazyyme @ Young Readers
Me, too. 😀
I read Cinder recently and was surprised by how much I loved it!! I was expecting to enjoy the story, but it completely surpassed my expectations ❤ Really eager to get my hands on Scarlet! It sounds SO awesome with plenty of badass heroine 😀
And thanks for your comment! Haha I always *try* to pick some less-known titles to get word out about them!
I totally envy you, Brodie. Um, is there a possibility that you might have “gotten tired” of your copy of Cinder already so you can send it out to less fortunate souls like me…..? I assure you that I’ve never had a problem with “hand-me-downs”. *wink wink*
LOL. You don’t try too hard, eh? Hehe
Well, I’m very glad you’re dedicated. Thanks to you, my wishlist is growing like crazy. 😀
Hi, Mauie! Yay! Another Filipino blogger! So nice to “virtually” meet you 🙂 Great picks you have. I’m extremely excited about Cinder, I have a thing for fairytales re-tellings 😛 Scarlet & Princess of the wild Swans sounds really nice too!
Thanks for dropping by my blog!
P.S.
Yeah. I agree with you about Unraveling’s love story. Let’s hope it’s a good one 🙂
The pleasure’s mine, Mia. It’s so nice to connect with Filipino bloggers. It’s weird how I “know” bloggers from other parts of the world yet only a handful of Pinoys. 😀
Baka sikat lang talaga ang instant luuuve sa mga teenagers abroad kaya isa ‘yan sa paboritong plot ng mga YA writers. Whatcha think? 🙂
I’ve been seeing Cinder around, I’m not sure if it’s on my TBR list already, gotta check it out!
Xo,
April @Books4Juliet
Hi, April! 😉
You and Nat from Dazzling Reads seem to have been of the same mind this week for picking Shine. Great fans of Jeri Smith-Ready, I see. Hehe
Yes, please do check out Cinder. A great book like that deserves a hype like no other. Haha. As if I’ve read it already. 😀
I love your picks!! I never really paid too much attention to Scarlet until now!! Definitely is going to my pile once it comes out! thnx for stopping by ^___^ muah!!
great picks!
Thank you, Nat. But you’ve outdone yourself this time, too. I like what you picked for this week even if I have not read the first book in the series yet. ^_^
Thanks for stopping by. Great picks, all of them sound great. I haven’t heard of Scarlet or Princess of Wild Swans but I am definitely adding them to my list now since I love fairytale retellings as well. I am especially looking forward to Cinder until January is finally here.
Most of us are waiting for that book, too. Thanks for stopping by, Traci! 😉
All of your picks seem to have a theme. I don’t know why I thought Cinder was out already, I see so many bloggers with it ! I want to read it to, I can’t wait to buy it and have it on my shelf. The cover is sooo pretty.
Thanks for stopping by Books&Sensibility !
Nah. It’s only this week that I went on a theme. I might go again on a different theme next week. Who knows? 🙂
I think Cinder is one of the most requested ARC or galley so no wonder a lot of people have read it before it got published. I can’t wait to have and read my own copy, too.
Thanks for dropping by, Kat! 😉
I’m lovin’ the look of Scarlet. Robin Hood is one of my fave stories. Thanks for the rec, and for visiting my blog!
Anytime, Cait! 😉
Fantastic picks this week!
–Wendy from A Cupcake and a Latte: YA Reviews
Thanks, Wendy! You picked a nice one, too, this week. ^_^
I’m looking forward to Scarlet and Cinder. Both different takes on previous stories. Can’t wait!
